Before I go any further I'd like to wish you all a (belated) Happy New Year, I wish you all the best for 2012 and hope everything goes to plan for you this year.
Okay, now on to news of the Russell Tovey variety;
First and foremost, if you missed it (silly me didn't update before the episode), the episode of Sherlock with Russell in it is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer for any British residents. I'll post a direct link to the episode at the bottom of this blog.
If you're from outside the UK and want to watch the episode before the DVD release, there are a number of good streaming websites, one of which I will post a direct link to at the bottom of this blog, on which the episode will become available tomorrow.
Russell did a fantastic job of the role and I hope that those of you who watch it enjoy his acting (and the episode in general) as much as I did.
Toby Whithouse has confirmed that Russell is leaving Being Human, although there is still no indication of whether he will be ousted between series or given an on-screen death. I'm sure that, as much as it pains us to see him go either way, we'd much prefer him to have a good send out in the form of an on-screen death.
Another quick update on the Being Human front: Russell will definately be in the new series. There's no information as to how long he will be in it, but promotional shoots imply that it will be a short appearance and from some of the articles I've read it seems he'll have a good send off. Here's to series 4!
Being Human series 4 starts in the UK 5th February and in the US 25th February. Switch on and enjoy Russell's final series!
Him & Her has recently (I say recently, but it's been about a month now) finished its second series, as I'm not aquainted with the series I don't know whether it seems likely that there will be another, but I will keep you up to date with it where I can.
Movie news now. Russell is to appear in the film Grabbers, a Horror/Sci-fi which is set to be shown at the Sundance Film Festival this month (23rd) in the USA. There are not yet any official release dates.
He is also voicing a minor character in the Aardman animated film The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, the release dates of which can be found here: www.imdb.com/title/tt1430626/r… .
That's all from me for now, watch this space for more news soon (hopefully).
